This site shows images of our hobby - 009 model railways, which we have built over the last few years, along with a few other photos of associated interest.
Details will be found of construction techniques and The Whitsend Tramway exhibition details.
I hope you find something of interest.

I have been modelling in 009 scale since 1981 eventually forming the Norfolk 009 Group in 1984 with another local member. The Group built some scenic 'modules' for exhibition in 1991 and have been exhibiting ever since. Until 2008 a second set of modules were exhibited, photos of which appear on this site in "Norfolk 009 Group Modules". I left the Group in 2007 but wanted to carry on exhibiting. My wife and I built a layout called "Carne" in 1997/98 and this was shown at exhibitions until May 2002. We also built two other "competition" micro layouts and one of these - "Grumblewick Coombe" won first prize.
Our project called "The Whitsend Tramway" is completed and being exhibited at shows, and we have been honoured in receiving several "Best in Show" awards. Photos of the layout are viewable here.
Two more small layouts have followed called "Fotherham" and "Hawkins Tower".
